After years of legal disputes and public speculation, a California judge has officially dismissed a paternity case against global rap icon and business mogul Jay-Z, ending a saga that has shadowed the artiste for over a decade.

According to Page Six, court documents confirm that the case filed by Rymir Satterthwaite and his legal guardian, Lillie Coley, has been dismissed with prejudice a legal term meaning the case cannot be refiled. This effectively blocks Satterthwaite, now 30, from pursuing any further legal action or requesting additional DNA testing from Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter.

The long-running dispute centred around allegations that Jay-Z fathered Satterthwaite in the 1990s following a brief relationship with his late mother, Wanda Satterthwaite. The Empire State of Mind rapper has consistently denied the claims and no credible evidence has ever been produced to substantiate them.

Satterthwaite had reportedly spent years attempting to prove that Jay-Z was his biological father, taking his claims through various legal channels across multiple states. However, courts repeatedly found procedural flaws or insufficient evidence to support his assertions.

The recent ruling marks a definitive end to a story that has occasionally resurfaced in the media, often stirring public curiosity about the rapper’s private life.

Jay-Z has largely remained silent throughout the legal proceedings, choosing not to publicly engage with the allegations. The dismissal brings closure not only to the artist but also to a narrative that has lingered for much of his career.

With the case now officially closed, Jay-Z continues to focus on his expansive business ventures, music legacy, and philanthropic work alongside his wife, Beyoncé.
