Netflix has officially commenced production on its upcoming comedy film 72 Hours, starring Kevin Hart alongside internet sensations Kai Cenat and Druski. Directed by Tim Story, known for Barbershop and Ride Along, the film promises a blend of traditional comedic storytelling with contemporary digital culture influences.
The narrative centers on a 40-year-old executive, portrayed by Hart, who inadvertently becomes part of a group text planning a wild bachelor party. Seizing the unexpected invitation as a chance to revitalize his stagnant career, he joins a group of twentysomethings for an unforgettable three-day escapade.
Joining the ensemble is Saturday Night Live breakout Marcello Hernández, cast as the groom’s best man, adding to the film’s dynamic lineup.
Production is currently underway in New Jersey, with casting calls seeking high-end car owners to feature in the film, indicating scenes filled with luxury and extravagance.
72 Hours is a collaborative effort between HartBeat Productions, Davis Entertainment, Counterbalance, and Will Packer Productions, in partnership with Sony Pictures.
While a release date has yet to be announced, anticipation is building for this fusion of seasoned comedic talent and fresh digital personalities.
