Ghanaian Afrobeat star King Promise took the stage at the 2025 MOBO Awards, held on February 18th at Newcastle’s Utilita Arena, to present the Video of the Year award. Dressed in a stylish ensemble, he added a touch of Ghanaian flair to the prestigious event.
In addition to his presenting role, King Promise was nominated for the Best African Music Act category, competing alongside artistes such as Asake, Ayra Starr, and Tems. This nomination marks his second at the MOBO Awards, following his first in 2021. Although he did not secure the award this year, the acknowledgment reflects his continued success and impact within the industry. 
King Promise’s involvement in the event highlights the significant contributions of African artistes to the global music landscape.

The artiste was speaking to media personality Kobby Kyei on the BoysLivesMatter series which highlights the emotional turmoil of the boys and men in a society that expects the gender to appear strong at all time.
