Ghanaian journalist Kofi Adomah Nwanwani, renowned for his work with Kofi TV and Radio, sustained injuries during a traditional event in Dormaa, Bono Region, last week. Reports indicate that while covering the event, Adomah was struck in the face by gunpowder residues from a musket being fired, leading to severe injury to one eye and complications in the other.
Following the incident, Adomah received immediate medical attention in Ghana before being transferred to Dubai for specialized treatment. His wife has confirmed that, despite the severity of the injury, he is currently stable, and they remain hopeful for his recovery.
The media community and the public have expressed deep concern and extended their support to Adomah during this challenging time. Fellow journalist Afia Pokua, also known as Vim Lady, shared the news on social media, urging prayers for his recovery.
Kofi Adomah Nwanwani is a respected Ghanaian journalist and philanthropist, known for his work as the director of news for the Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN) and as the founder and CEO of Kofi TV.
The incident has raised concerns about safety during traditional events involving firearms, highlighting the need for stringent safety measures to protect participants and spectators.
As investigations continue, the media community and the public remain hopeful for Adomah’s full recovery and are closely monitoring updates on his condition.
