Trump To Present World Cup Trophy At Tournament Final
FIFA President, Gianni Infantino has revealed that United States President Donald Trump will attend and help present the trophy at the 2026 World Cup final.
This appears to be the first World Cup game that the US president will be attending but may make an appearance before the final which will be held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19, 2026.
"We will be together with the president, enjoying the final and handing the trophy to the winner, of course," Infantino, a close friend of Trump, told Fox.
When asked if they would present the trophy together, Infantino said, "Of course, we are together all the time."
The 2026 FIFA World Cup is being held in Mexico, Canada and the USA.
78 of the matches will be played across various stadia in the United States.
