The Burniton Music Group (BMG) and the BHIM Festival Secretariat have officially announced a change in the date for the 10th edition of the BHIM Festival. Originally scheduled for 26th December 2025, the highly anticipated event will now take place on 24th December 2025 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
According to the organisers, all other event details including venue, time and ticket validity remain unchanged. Tickets purchased for the previous date will still be honoured and can be redeemed at the designated centres at the event venue.
In a statement, the organisers explained that the decision to reschedule was made “out of respect for patrons” and in an effort to ensure an exceptional experience for attendees. The change, they noted, was influenced by security, crowd safety, traffic management and the need for maximum support from public services such as the Ghana Police Service and the Fire Service.
The announcement follows a recent development where the organisers of the Black Star Experience moved their Taste the Culture event to 29th December 2025, creating a potential conflict as their venue is located close to the Accra Sports Stadium. Despite private negotiations to resolve the clash, Black Star Experience ultimately decided to shift the BHIM Festival to a new date in the interest of public safety and convenience.
“Although the change comes with significant financial implications for us as private organisers, our priority has always been the safety and satisfaction of our patrons,” the statement read. The organisers also extended their appreciation to the Ghana Tourism Authority for its support and assistance in securing the stadium for the revised date amidst the busy festive season.
