Minnesota Timberwolves’ rising star, Anthony Edwards, made waves during his playoff opener against the Phoenix Suns by debuting his first signature sneaker, the Adidas AE 1 Low. The game saw Edwards deliver a dominant performance while showcasing his new low-top sneaker on the court.

The Adidas AE 1 Low features a drop in the collar’s placement, transitioning the sneaker from a mid-top to a low-top design. However, the signature sneaker retains its distinctive elements, including dynamic TPU wings with ventilation holes, providing both style and functionality for Edwards on the court.

The release of the Adidas AE 1 Low marks a significant moment for Adidas Basketball, following the success of James Harden’s Adidas Harden Vol. 8. Both signature sneakers have been in high demand, consistently selling out with each new colorway release since their respective launches in February and December. The AE 1 and Harden Vol. 8 share a focus on containment technology and bold color-blocking, appealing to basketball enthusiasts and sneaker collectors alike.

In a promotional video released by Adidas ahead of the game, Edwards is seen confidently asserting that people aren’t ready for his Lows. The video features Edwards in a convertible car, with the roof coming down to reveal his pink and black sneaker design. Edwards exudes confidence as he declares, “I don’t” when asked how he expects people to keep up with his signature style.

While a release date for the Adidas AE 1 Low has not yet been announced, Adidas has hinted at more details about upcoming models to be revealed in the coming months.
