Beyoncé Launches Cowboy Carter Tour with Spectacular Opening Night at SoFi Stadium
Beyoncé
Beyoncé ignited the stage at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on April 28th, 2025, marking the commencement of her much-anticipated Cowboy Carter world tour. The opening night was a testament to her artistic evolution, blending country influences with her signature pop and R&B sound, delivering a performance that was both visually stunning and emotionally resonant.

The concert unfolded over eight acts, featuring a robust setlist of 39 songs that spanned her illustrious career. Highlights included live debuts of tracks like AMERIICAN REQUIEM, II HANDS II HEAVEN, and 16 Carriages, alongside reimagined versions of classics such as Formation, Crazy in Love, and a poignant cover of Dolly Parton’s Jolene.

The stage design was a marvel in itself, with a star-shaped main platform and interconnected runways, creating an immersive experience for the audience. Beyoncé’s wardrobe paid homage to Americana, featuring Western-inspired attire adorned with tassels, stars, and sequins. Notably, she captivated fans by performing an operatic piece in Italian, showcasing her vocal versatility.

Adding to the night’s emotional depth, Beyoncé was joined onstage by her daughters. Blue Ivy, 13, performed alongside her mother during several songs, including YA YA and America Has a Problem, while seven-year-old Rumi made her stage debut during Protector, creating a heartfelt family moment that resonated with fans.

The Cowboy Carter tour, supporting her eighth studio album of the same name, is set to traverse North America and Europe, with upcoming performances in cities like Chicago, East Rutherford, London, and Paris. The tour is scheduled to conclude on July 26, 2025, at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.

Beyoncé’s opening night at SoFi Stadium not only showcased her musical prowess but also reaffirmed her status as a dynamic performer capable of blending genres and delivering powerful, family-centric performances.
