Global music icon and Grammy Award winner Ciara, has arrived in Lagos, Nigeria, for a cultural and artistic celebration that highlights the city’s rich heritage and creative spirit.

The American superstar was warmly received by the Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka, as she embarks on a tour that honors Lagos’ vibrant tourism, art and culture scene.

Ciara’s visit marks a symbolic homecoming, as she joins other international creatives who recognize Lagos as a hub of global African creativity and innovation. During her stay, she is expected to visit several cultural and historical sites across the city, engaging with artists, designers and cultural leaders who continue to shape Lagos’ identity as Africa’s creative capital.

Her arrival also coincides with the 15th anniversary celebration of the Lagos Fashion Week, one of Africa’s most anticipated fashion events. In collaboration with the Lagos State Government, the anniversary celebrates 15 years of showcasing African talent to the world, positioning Lagos as a central stage for fashion, sustainability and cultural exchange.

Ciara’s presence adds a global spotlight to this year’s festivities, symbolizing the strong connection between African creativity and the global entertainment and fashion industries.
