On their collaborative song GOD DID, Jay-Z, John Legend, Lil Wayne, Fridayy, and Rick Ross helped DJ Khaled close up the 2023 GRAMMYs. The performers spilled out onto the sidewalk in front of L.A.'s Crypto.com Arena rapping verses and singing hooks while bathed in purple light. With John Legend sitting behind a piano draped in flowers as the others sat at an extravagant table decorated to resemble the Last Supper.




Khaled shouted in between verses by Ross and Lil Wayne "They didn't want us to win! So I made sure I was on the GRAMMYs stage with the biggest! This is for hip-hop!". Jay-Z stole the spotlight as he testified, "These ain't songs, these is hymns 'cause I'm him/ It's the Psalm 151, this New Testament/ The book of Hov/ Jesus turned water to wine/ For Hov, it just took a stove."



At this year's awards ceremony, the laudable banger received three nominations, including Song Of The Year, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Performance. GOD DID was one of the contenders for Best Rap Album. For BEAUTIFUL, the Future and SZA-assisted album cut off GOD DID, the superproducer received a sixth nomination in the Best Melodic Rap Performance category. As a guest performer on Mary J. Blige's GOOD MORNING GORGEOUS (Deluxe), which is up for Album Of The Year, he received a second nomination.




GOD DID's lead track, STAYING ALIVE, featuring Drake and Lil Baby, gave Khaled his eighth Top 10 success in the Billboard Hot 100 during the course of 2022. It also turned into his fourth album to top the Billboard 200 chart. 200.
