The 20th anniversary of Ghana Party in the Park (GPITP) lived up to the hype on Saturday, July 12th, 2025, delivering an unforgettable cultural experience to thousands at Barnet Playing Fields. The event, organized by Akwaaba UK, marked a major milestone for the Ghanaian diaspora, showcasing music, food, fashion, business, and tradition all under one vibrant festival.

Tickets sold out ahead of the event, with organizers sticking to a strict advance-only policy, resulting in a packed venue filled with fans from across the UK, Europe, and beyond. The crowd was treated to thrilling performances from a star-studded lineup including King Promise, who also served as creative director, Kweku Smoke, DopeNation, Cina Soul, MOLIY, Beeztrap KOTM, and Fuse ODG, among others.

The event wasn’t just about music, it was a full cultural experience. Attendees enjoyed traditional drumming, masquerades, fashion showcases, authentic Ghanaian cuisine, and a dedicated kids’ zone. A new feature this year, Expo Ghana, gave businesses a platform to connect with the diaspora, adding a commercial edge to the cultural celebration.

From energetic dance showcases by DWP Academy to the community’s strong turnout, GPITP 2025 reaffirmed its place as one of Europe’s most iconic African cultural festivals.
