Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Asake has been announced as the headliner for the upcoming Red Bull Symphonic in New York, making him the first African artiste to lead the groundbreaking orchestral series in the United States. The event is set for November 8, 2025, at the iconic Kings Theatre in Brooklyn.

Red Bull Symphonic, known for pairing contemporary music stars with full orchestras, will make its New York City debut with this performance. Asake will perform alongside a live symphonic orchestra under the direction of conductor Glenn Alexander II, with orchestral arrangements crafted in collaboration with celebrated conductor and composer Anthony Parnther.

The announcement has been widely celebrated as a milestone for African music. While promotional materials emphasize that Asake is the “first African artiste to headline Red Bull Symphonic,” the claim specifically applies to the U.S. edition of the series. Past editions across Europe and other regions have featured a variety of global acts, but none with an African artiste in the headlining role in New York.

For Asake, this marks yet another leap in a career defined by rapid international growth and innovation. Known for his unique blend of Afrobeats, Fuji, and street-hop influences, Asake’s performance with a full orchestra promises to showcase his artistry in a completely new light, bridging African contemporary sounds with classical instrumentation.

The event is expected to draw a diverse audience, highlighting both the global reach of Afrobeats and the evolving cultural significance of orchestral collaborations.

Tickets will be available on Wednesday through Red Bull Symphonic’s official channels, and the performance will stream globally across select platforms.
