TG Omori Launches Eyewear Brand to Support Nigerians with Kidney Disease
TG OMORI
Resilient and visionary, award-winning music video director TG Omori (ThankGod Omori Jesam) has unveiled his first-ever glasses design, a stylish fusion of fashion and philanthropy. The initiative is deeply personal: 10% of all proceeds will go towards helping Nigerians living with kidney disease afford life-saving dialysis.

TG Omori, whose own journey through kidney failure and a failed transplant has been highly publicized, highlighted on social media the staggering cost of treatment. Now fully transparent about the financial strain kidney disease poses, he described the burden of ₦100,000 per dialysis session, with some patients requiring up to three sessions weekly, an unaffordable reality for many given the country’s minimum wage hovers around ₦70,000.

Reflecting on his own experience, Omori confessed that his medical bills over the past six months could have instead purchased two Mercedes-Benz GLE SUVs and a C300—powerful testimony to how expensive healthcare can be.

The new eyewear line is more than a fashion statement—it’s a purposeful campaign. Omori shared that the project is his way of giving back and bridging the gap for those who struggle to afford life-preserving treatments.

Known in the industry as the “Boy Director,” TG Omori has shaped the visual identity of Nigerian music through iconic videos for artists like Wizkid, Burna Boy, Asake, Fireboy DML, and many others. His openness about personal health struggles—including multiple transplants and a public recovery journey—has added layers of empathy and inspiration to his public persona.

As he steps into fashion with a cause, TG Omori blends creativity, brand-building, and social impact, creating a product that not only enhances style but also uplifts those most in need.
